It Girl Stats: Lauren Nepo

My friends inspire me in many ways — from the demeanor in which I parent, to the way I dress to the books I choose to read to ideas for my blog. Lauren Nepo helped with the latter. One day, she told me, “You should profile IT girls — ask them fun questions that everyone is dying to know the answers to.” And tada! My Monday morning blog post — IT Girl Stats — was born. So here’s Lauren, the brainchild behind IT Girl Stats. Born and raised in Miami, Lauren went to high school at Palmer Trinity with my younger brother. I used to watch her cheer on the football team and she later resurfaced in my life when she started dating my friend, Nepo. Lauren is now married to Nepo and you can find her on any given day at Whole Foods, working out at Body & Soul, or dining at Makoto. Enjoy getting to know her as much as I have over the years!

Name: Lauren Nepo

Jeans: J Brand Power Stretch Skinny
T-Shirt: Gap Body ribbed tank and T by Alexander Wang muscle shirt
Swimwear: Eres. My husband likes it best because of its simplicity

Mascara: Chanel Imitable Intense in Black. At night: after I apply it to one eye, I use my fingers and add Duralash by Ardell individuals from mid eye to the end alternating flare medium and flare short then onto the next eye
Foundation: Hourglass illusion tinted moisturizer
Concealer:  Cle de peau in ivory
Eyeshadow/liner: Lancôme Artliner in noir — it’s liquid and has a thin spongey tip. I’ve tried them all and this one seems to be the easiest. I got really good at applying it so one eye doesnt look bigger than the other. The trick with liquid is to get it thin and basically on the lash line for definition. Sometimes I use Sue Devitt eye intensifier pencil in Surat and smudge it around so its linerish/kinda shadowy, but not so harsh.
Lipstick/gloss: Call me a chonga but I love a VERY SOFT lining of MAC spice or NARS morocco then a sheer shimmery balm or gloss like Chantecaille Lip Potion in Aromacologie or SMASHBOX O-Gloss
Blush: By TERRY apple glow mixed with RMS living luminizer.
Bronzer: A mix of Fresh ‘here comes the sun’ palette and Guerlain Terracotta Blondes 01

Lunch spot: At home. I love making my own chicken quesadillas with La Tortilla Factory wraps (they are amazing and FULL of fiber) with a chocolate vitamuffin. Or Carpaccio or La Goulue which is a 1.2 minure car ride
Dinner: Makoto: truffled beef carpaccio, Makoto salad, truffled vegetable risotto and the banana brown butter marshmallow dessert
Sweet spot: Whip n’ Dip
Dessert: Maj sweet tooth — only made from scratch, if not its not worth it! Chocolate chip cookies, Rice Krispie treats, tres leches, ice cream with any warm dessert, apple crisp, brownies, chocolate souffle
Last meal on earth: I would have to go with a full on sampler of my most decadent indulgences: New York strip steak medium with steak butter (Houstons), truffled cream corn (Prime 112), a few bites of spagetti bolognese(from Serafina) with lots of parmesan cheese, 1 FRIDAYS potato skin loaded with sour cream, a plain Shake Shack double cheeseburger, 1/2 stack of pancakes with butter, syrup and a side of extra crispy bacon from The Original Pancake House (NOT IHOP)
Travel: Rosewood Mayakoba, Mexico (hot) because it’s easily accessible yet private and secluded and Jacksonhole, Wyoming (cold) for the best skiing
Fun fact: I almost only wear black, I could out eat a 300-pound man (seriously, Major League Eating style!), and I do not eat any condiments
For my birthday, get me: My birthday credits are used up throughout 2016!
